Farmers primarily sell their produce through the medium of commission agents. However, these agents often face a shortage of space when it comes to securely storing the farmers' grain. Furthermore—with a view to ensuring that farmers who bring their produce to the Committee's yard for sale receive timely payment, and recognizing the mutual convenience this would offer to both cultivators and agents—the Committee currently maintains commercial stalls for those agents and traders who require them. Taking into account the existing demand, the Committee now intends to construct additional stalls.
