Prior to the administrative bifurcation, a plot of land measuring 1.57 hectares was acquired at Samudrapur for the establishment of the principal market yard of the Samudrapur Agricultural Produce Market Committee. The village of Samudrapur is situated along the Jam-Umred Road. Within the Committee's principal market yard at Samudrapur, the following infrastructural facilities have been established: 1. Administrative Office Building, 2. Auction Hall, 3. Traders' Shops/Stalls, 4. Auction Hall with an Open Platform, 5. Drinking Water Facility (Water Cooler), 6. Borewell, 7. Boundary Wall/Compound, 8. Electrical Supply System, 9. Internal Roads, 10. Farmers' Rest House, and 11. A Branch of the State Bank of India, among others.
Considering the volume of grain arrivals at the main market yard—and with the objective of providing maximum amenities to the farmers—the Committee has successfully completed the cementing of the market sheds and the construction of the roof over the auction hall. Furthermore, the Committee intends to undertake the construction of additional traders' shops, warehouses, sanitary facilities, a 10,000-liter water storage tank, a weighbridge, and a new administrative office building.
